The severity of the KO actually hurts Canelo's cred?

Canelo's credibility took a big hit when he decided to fight a questionable Junior Welterweight/ welterweight fighter who had been Ko'd a few times already and who wasn't regarded as the very top of those divisions. His credibility would have taken a bigger hit if he won a decision against Khan. If Breidis Prescott and Danny Garcia could knock out Khan , then you've got to expect a strong Middleweight like Canelo is going to have a dominating performance and a fairly early KO. The fact that Khan won a few of the early rounds so clearly is what is detrimental to his credibility.....and the fact that he even signed to fight Khan in the first place.Comment

Yup. Bully overrated cherrypicker against chinny smaller fighter who he was losing rounds to.
This is the kind of Garcia-Salka cherrypicker bull**** boxing should be trying to avoid in the first place. Canelo is an embarrassment for even considering this fight, much less taking it.
I would love to say that Canelo would get his just desserts after fighting Golovkin but I don't he'll take the fight. Fighting someone in his own weightclass isn't something ball-less fighters do.Comment

Classless metal requires more talent than most of the nursery rhyming, atonal, big mouth **** talking, juvenile crap that they call Rap. There's plenty of ****ty metal music but even most of those guys can play a musical instrument and they actually have to know how to sing as opposed to talking their way through kindergarten level musicianship. But yeah, lots of metal is **** too, because of the screaming and lack of songwriting skill. I'd rather hear good hard rock music or metal music at a boxing event any day. You seem to have a problem with "white boy" music.should there be a permanenet hip hop/boxing style thread? Cuz as far as im concerned hip hop culture and boxing are as tightly connected as the NBA and hip hop culture. Leave the classless metal screaming bull**** for the UFC white boy rednecks and there eye-brow piercings...

He didn't lose any. He had already lost it when the fight got announced. Canelo is a pretty one dimensional fighter. The fact that he's the face of boxing after the Mayweather/Pacquiao era is laughable since he's about 6 levels below both of them fighters. Everybody knew this would happen. Canelo is straight up ducking Golovkin and it's really shameful. There's good reason too, because I simply can't see Canelo giving Golovkin any trouble whatsoever.Comment

Yeah, Canelo won't be fighting Golovkin anytime soon. Golden Boy will avoid that fight at all costs. They want to keep the cash cow alive.Yup. Bully overrated cherrypicker against chinny smaller fighter who he was losing rounds to.
