i bet he puts it out there for GGG to come see him at 155, then it's up to GGG.
Who will Can'tNelo fight in September?

Yes it should be GGG. But I've seen a pattern in the media recently. They're saying it's OK for the fight to happen in May 2017 because we waited 5 years for May-Pac. I can't even start with the reasons those are two totally different situations. But the main reason is that May-Pac were never mando's. Here you have a guy fighting in his own weight division while holding the belt for the traditional weight division but refuses to say he's in that weight division. This is insanity. I think this is his 5th fight in a row in the MW division, he holds the MW belt but he claims he's a JMW. This is crazy. The media will call him the MW champion, he'll say he isn't a MW and nobody calls him out. Like Virgil said about the media..."When ya'll start telling it how it is it'll be that way". But they're in a rock and a hard place because they like both fighters. With May-Pac they created a good guy and a bad guy. They can't do that in this situation because they're so far up both guys ass
And let me add this. When they bring up Ward/GGG they make sure they remind everyone that Ward can't make 168 that's why he fought at 172, LHW. If 172 is LHW for Ward, WTF is 155 for Canelo?Last edited by about.thousands; 05-07-2016, 10:52 AM.Comment

i guess rosado, stevens/teixeira, smith and tapia (if he beats lemieux) are the back-up guys in case they can't get mayweather, pacquiao or cotto again. all those guys could make 155 in a pinch
GBP probably has access to just enough caneloweight fighters that they can filibuster until GGG leaves MW or suddenly becomes vulnerable. assuming canelo's body can handle the prolonged weight drainingComment

they're not going to go from khan to GGG. they just aren't
may 2017 is the new best case scenario, but with the WBC no longer in play they will have no reason to make the fight then eitherComment
