He needed 15 lbs of muscles in 1 year. That's water retention. Unless he roided up. It's the only way to accelerate muscle development.

The thing is gaining 15lbs of muscles in 1 year will stiffen him up. Flexibility will affect him. He will definitely slow down in this division.
Khan hasn't put on any serious muscles (maybe like 3 -5 lbs), he is still a 147'er, its just he hasn't had to cut down as much, so he looks more soft.

Canelo is the one who starved himself to make weight and deprived himself of water. Its getting harder and harder for Canelo to make weight, next fight will probably be at 156.

Khan should have more energy than normal as cutting down can take a toll on ones body. End of the day we can all sit there and talk muscles, it all depends on what Khan and Canelo do in the ring

A world class body builder who's close to his physical enhanced limits with drugs can still put on 3-5 pounds of muscle in a year. For a weight class boxer I'd assume it's much easier considering they're starving themselves for most of the time and don't touch weights.

That said, we have to see how Lemieux rebounds from the Golovkin loss, and Tapia might not be as damaged as we thought given this will be his first time not having to make 154.
