Comments Thread For: WBC Prez Admits Tough Spot - if Mayweather, Khan Target Garcia

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman may find himself in a very tough position if Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) and Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) simultaneously target WBC welterweight champion Danny Garcia.

"It is so difficult to rule with so many variables. I would feel irresponsible to render an opinion. So many things have to happen for this scenario to show up. I would prefer not to speculate," Sulaiman told BoxingScene.com.

        Yeah, so many variables.

Well somebody should retire him. He's 39. If these hungry young lions want the throne they need to take it instead of wishing the king retires and they get the crown by default.

It's not about what he can prove. He's giving the young fighters a chance to prove something. If they want it come get it.

Why doesn't he wait a year to see who emerges as the top dawg at 147 before coming back? He's just trying to cherry pick the easiest high profile name he can get at 147. Why not fight the Thurman-Porter winner? Why not Kell Brook? Those guys deserve the fight more than Danny does.

Isn't the solution as simple as Danny choosing who he wana face first, since they are both mandatory fights?

Or maybe it can be based on who became mandatory first? Did Khan get the mandatory status before Floyd got the emeritus status or vice versa?

I can think of many different solutions for this that don't require any litigation.
