Manny Pacquiao is one of the few whos fanbase transcended race and nationalism

Who else can beat so many mexicans and yet at the end of the day when its all said and done be loved by mexicans, even the greatest mexican JCC snr loves Pacquiao.
Pacquiao comes from the same mold as Ali, SRL, JCC. Hes loved by boxing fans and casual fans a like, even people who dont follow boxing like him.

Since hes definetely going to be running for senate it appears that his boxing career is finished. Hes had a great run, whether youre a fan or not Pacquiao deserves respect.

i think he might be the only one of 2 in boxing history. Tyson was another. white boys love Tyson. main reason being he's like all the negative stereotypes of a black man smashed into one.

GGG, Kovalev, Klit are having trouble having crossover appeal...

Its hard not to like a fighter like pac. He tries to put on exciting fights and is humble as hell.

Its rare for an all out action fighter to be so outgoing and friendly to the cameras at the same time. He seems to harmless yet is an absolutely animal in the ring.

GGG is the same but i dont think hell be as big to pac across all types of fans.

When I mention boxing to people that are not fans, Manny's name comes up. That says a lot about what he has done with his career. Non fans know about him.

I think he's just liked because he is/was fearsome, unpredictable and exciting.

Kovalev is a bit like that, but he doesn't get the same push from the media, ME are a smaller promoter and he obviously isn't American or a heavyweight either.

This has to do with popularity and how fans actually like a fighter not despise him. Go away f lomo

It's not hard to see why?

Remember when the media tried to pen his nickname as the “Mexicutioner?”

Manny stated “I do not like the nickname ‘Mexicutioner,” He prefers the nickname, “Pac Man.”

“I love the Mexican boxing fans and that name does not reflect my true feelings about Mexico and its people.”
