Is Ward physically stronger than Kovalev??

Some people think it's a ****** question because the obvious answer should be NO, but at the same time many people also underestimate Wards physical strength. Could Ward be the physical stronger fighter when the step into the ring?

Will Ward's smothering style work against Kovalev? Will Ward be strong enough to outmuscle him on the inside and wrestle Kovalev in order to smother his offense?

If the answer is no? How is Ward going to beat Kovalev? Can he beat Kovalev on the outside?

I've no idea, that's why I want to see the fight. I want to see Ward have problems, I want to see Kovalev have problems, I want knockdowns, drama and a bacon sandwich..

Maybe not physically but physical power isnt as important as positioning is and I think Ward will be in better positions but we will not know for sure until they fight, these Russians and Eastern Euros are good at range but Ward is on another level.

            Kovalev is Stronger

I believe Kovalev is the stronger puncher of the two and overall the stronger fighter. That being said Ward has a definite shot at beating Kovalev because of his boxing ability. The bigger stronger fighter doesn't mean a win, a perfect example of this would be Canelo and Mayweather. Mayweather won this one on points and was NOT the stronger fighter

Yeah he looks strong as fuck to me too. Definitely the stronger guy in his fights to date, and even if you just look at his physique he's built like a powerful guy.

We'll see how it plays out at 175 but a big point in his favour is that he seems to know how to use the strength he has. On the inside he'll be a handful for anyone.
