When your punches are blocked but your fans believe are hits

Some pro Canelo guy here has this gif in his signature:

The three punches are blocked by Lara. Canelo hits arms everytime. The second one seems to be a body shot but if you pay attention Lara blocks it with the right hand. Maybe I'm wrong about this one and Lara bends his knee from the body shot. Or maybe moves down to go away from the ropes.

If you count these situations as punches, Canelo won the fight? If you don't count them Lara won? what are your thoughts?

The only punch there that might have landed well is the final uppercut. Everything else is glancing or blocked.

Well let me ask you this, if that was all that was done that round, who would you say won? The guy punching, or the guy blocking? Boxing is about ring generalship, in that exchange Canelo looked like the general, Lara took off for a reason. If those punches didnt at least bother him than he wouldve stood there and countered. I personally watched that fight 3x's, each time I had it a draw but I could understand Canelo winning because Lara doesnt always move that much in a fight. Canelos punches whether on the arms or not bothered him and when Lara moved he obviously gave control to Canelo. Had Lara been moving to set up offense (like he did some rounds) he was the more effective ring general but for the most part Lara was moving for a reason and it wasnt to set up offense like he has done in other fights. & if you want to go by compubox, thats a totally different topic.

If a fighter has a lot of power, those punches to the arm can hurt and even cause the arms to kind of go dead. I don't think Canelo has that type of power, but I've seen Kovalev and Golovkin hurt guys to the arms and shoulders in most of their fights.

Same thing in the Cotto fight. Cotto slipped and blocked a lot of the punches thrown by Canelo but they were still being counted by Compubox.

                this

a blocked or glancing blow is better than nothing at all

the bodyshot and uppercut in that gif look like scoring punches to me anyway

Those punches are scored if the crowd makes enough noise. That shouldn't be how it is, but that's how it works.
