I used to have a love/hate attitude towards Broner but now I kinda like him (despite all that bowling alley business).

I'm not sure what it is exactly that changed my mind ... I think for me, he represents a struggle a lot of folks go through every day -- he's got some tremendous talents but his demons and flaws tend to hold him back and keep him from becoming all that he could truly be.

I was definitely off the Broner bandwagon by the time of the Maidana fight, but even as someone who was enthused by seeing Maidana **** him up, I think he showed a ton of heart in that fight.

That was one of those fights you wished lasted 15 rounds. He came back from a lot of adversity and was coming on in that fight near the end. If that was old-school & it went 15, I truly believe that Broner would have turned the tide of the battle. Many lesser fighters would have given up, but he didn't. He's a dumb **** outside the ring, but when he's in the ring and under fire, he's tough and he doesn't wilt.

BRONER!!!!! The heart of a champion beats in your chest even though you got your a#s kicked. If only Victor Ortiz had a little bit of that heart.

Now....get the head of a champion. I don't mean by them damn strippers either.

'Represents the struggle' .. what, like flushing money down the toilet and posting it on the internet? Don't be silly

The fighters would have prepared differently for a 15rd fight, and the fight may have been a lot different. You can't say Broner would win if it went 15 rounds with any authority as its literally all fantasy.

I agree that he showed some heart in going the distance. I'll even praise him when he got up when he could have continued trying to get a DQ, which a lot may disagree with. But I think what people are missing here, is that Maidana himself wasn't a great fighter. I think people are blinded by him kicking Broner's ass and having a better than expected showing against Floyd, which was promptly corrected with an unwarranted rematch, leading to the argument that it was Floyd who looked bad, not Maidana looking special. This is the same guy who lost to Khan despite heavy hands.. Broner just isn't anything special when he's fighting people of a similar size, which a lot of fighters now seem to suffer the same problem

I watched the fight again today because of this thread and he did win the 6th really clearly. That's it, though. There were two other rounds I thought he won as well.

He got his ass kicked in every other round. The people who try to give him 5 are giving him rounds where he still got his ass kicked, but not as bad.

I never liked Broner's "If they Hate me then they'll Pay me" self absorbed personality... Way over the top with that attitude, it was nice to see him humbled against Maidana..

That said, despite Broner's immediate exit after the fight without an interview, Adrian did show Heart...

I think he realized that he was not going to win this fight, but yet he didn't give up..... He had to reach pretty deeply inside in order to finish the fight when it would have been much easier for him to quit... I respect him for that...

Now if he would only let his performance do the talking instead of channeling his inner clown, I would have far more respect for him....
