Imagine him following in the great Bernard Hopkins' footsteps and going up 2 weight classes and defeating the Universally Recognized LHW Champion of the World! Assuming Kovalev gets past Ward, which I think he won't. Which would then make him facing Ward even that much bigger for his legacy

Wow, the options for his next couple fights is gargantuan

      Could be wrong

but didnt GGG & KOvalev spar or fight as amatuers back in the day?!?! Could be possible if true.

Imagine GGG - KOV - WARD fights happening...all the while Stevenson continues to be irrelevant

Let's make more threads on this!

I would love to hear what Hopkins would say if someone said to him to move up to 175 right before or instead of fighting Oscar de la hoya. He'd laugh in their faces.

Hopkins is full of shot. There is a need for Kovalev vs chickenson and Kovalev vs son of devil. Ggg is 5 foot 10. Too small for light heavyweight division. Hopkins did it but he's 6 foot 1

I.E.: I can't fight forever and we need this one star to keep us as a company afloat so the biggest threat to him should move up because it's in my best personal interest and i'm going to bullshhh you and get my fans to follow this narrative, just like oscar has his fan base on full tilt defending canelo, and canelo's fans are also going full tilt trying to change the topic. I can't afford to have Golovkin destroy our star.

Whilst I don't disagree with BHOP I'd like to see Aquacknis and Ward versus Krusher first, and GGG test the waters at 168, before 175. I really don't think GGG will beat Callum Smith.

GGG is not moving anywhere until he gets Canelo. That's a huge money fight and it's dangling right in his face. I don't get why people want him to move up with that fight being right there. It's common sense
