Is Canelo purposely playing the bad guy?

It seems every other day Canelo is quoted stating some dumb reason why he shouldn't fight GGG. Is this a marketing plot? Is he that scared? Does he really believe what he is saying?

I'm really starting to think it's a marketing strategy. There's no way anyone can be as scared as ginger-boy is looking right now.

All of the members of Golden Boy Promotions team are scared to death to put GGG and Canelo in the same ring. They are all saying some of the most ridiculous **** I have ever heard. Hopkins latest is that GGG must fight Kovalev.

Even though i think they are hesitant to make the fight i would NOT be surprise if the fight happens, Canelo has taken fights that he shouldn't have taken in the past. I just don't like the lobbying they are doing at the moment.

I agree, let's wait until after the Khan fight to see his next move first.

It's not an act. He doesn't want any part of GGG
