  • RNS tried to make Ward-Shabranskyy. GBP turned it down?

According to Fat Ass Dan Rafael, Ward may be back on July 9 or 16 if HBO has any money left. RNS approached GBP about Shabranskyy, but GBP priced themselves out.

Would you guys be interested in a Ward-Shabranskyy fight for July?

Has Golden Boy dealt with RNS since the Cotto-Canelo fight? I know GBP wasn't to happy with Roc Naton after that fiasco.

He probably would, GBP knows it too..... It's funny however because when the Barrera fight got signed sealed and delivered, some posters were saying Ward ducked this guy.

I wouldn't mind it, as I feel it is a move in the right direction, Shabransky is probably a consensus lower top 10 LHW and has legit power so it's good prep for Kovalev.

RNS has only done 3 cards since then, but no. I'm surprised Shabranskyy doesn't want it. This guy has never appeared on an HBO card outside of HBO Latino,, he should jump at the opportunity. It's not like HBO has the money to showcase him any other way.

He beat up Yuneski Gonzalez. I've been calling for Ward-Shabranskyy since Ward got through Barrera. No one else on the HBO side at LHW that would present a better option than Shabranskyy.

I don't see why he should take that fight at this point in his career.

Even Rafael says there doesn't even appear to be much money in it...

It is possible that Ward could sit, however, because there is very little money to make a fight for him given HBO’s budget constraints.
