Comments Thread For: Showtime Inks Anthony Joshua To Multi-Fight Deal

From the moment they secured the televised rights for his eventual 2nd round knockout of Charles Martin to win a piece of the heavyweight crown, it was apparent that the brass at Showtime was keen on entering the Anthony Joshua business.

That goal was realized on Wednesday, when the network announced a multi-fight agreement as the exclusive U.S. television partner of the unbeaten 2012 Olympic Gold medalist and newly minted heavyweight titlist.

I hope Wilder and Joshua win, so we can see Wilder vs. Joshua next! How about July 4, 2017? Maybe not.

Hearn is rubbing his hands together. Now can justify placing Joshua against an endless amount of useless American bums.

            Showtime steadily investing in boxing.

Time Warner first quarter earnings exceeded Wall Street projections so hopefully we can expect HBO to start doing the same.
The company, led by CEO Jeff Bewkes, posted higher profits for HBO, Turner and Warner Bros., which opened 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' in the period.

It's funny how everyone wants to focus on PBCs problems but don't want to acknowledge how ****ty HBO is doing.

The best HW's are European, not American.

Not really, I'm really pleased. When Fury takes Joshua to school, lots more people will see it.

How many fights is the deal for?

Good for Joshua doe. Should be interesting to see how Joshua helps Showtime grow some ratings as his name gets bigger in the US assuming he keeps the unbeaten &/or KO streak going.
