  • Comments Thread For: Khan: I Took The Tougher Fight, Mayweather Easier Than Canelo!

Amir Khan believes that he's taken the toughest fight possible on Saturday night - even tougher than a clash with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Khan had tried to get a fight with Mayweather for several years, but the fight never happened.

No. I feel Canelo is the easier fight. Not saying I think Khan is going to beat Canelo but a Floyd fight would test khans mental toughness. Canelo is going to test his physical toughness. Floyd won't ko or hurt Khan but he will make him pay for every mistake he makes and for that reason I feel Floyd is the more difficult fight.

mayweather's skills, movement, and counters negates khans amateurish combos and picks him apart. very easy work. (TMT)

You all are missing the point. Floyd is easier than Can'tNelo by a mile!
Floydie couldn't knock out chinny khan where as Can'tNelo can blast him out

But Floyd ducked Khan pretty blatantly. After fighting a guy twice who lost to Khan (Maidana) he cut off negotiations with Khan and fought his inferior training partner (Berto) instead.

Not saying Khan is an amazing fighter in his own right, because he isn't, but Floyd prefers to fight deliberate punchers who will chase him around and get countered. A very quick guy who likes to box at range like Khan could make Floyd's usual rule-bending UD win much more difficult. His poor defense aso wouldn't matter as much against a fighter like Floyd who mostly opts for harmless point scoring jabs to the body etc.

Comeback fight will probably be Garcia or someone else who will chase him around throwing angry barrages at thin air.

Meanwhile Canelo is a very difficult matchup for Khan. He easily has enough power to cold-**** him, his size advantage will make clinching safely very difficult, many of his best exchanges have been extended trades straight down the pipe, which is Khan's standard engage zone.
