The Peterson fight is a perfect example, looks awesome early when he is being aggressive and nearly has Peterson out of there, and after a few rounds decides to box, lets Peterson back in the fight, starts getting tagged and stung a couple of times himself and hangs on for a draw.

The Peterson fight is most telling fight in Victor's career I think. Lamont didn't evaporate in the face of the early onslaught, and you could almost see Victor's balls shrivel as Lamont grew into the fight.

It showed two things. The first is that he didn't have the stomach to really face Peterson down when Peterson proved he could live with him physically. The second is that he had no ideas left when Plan A didn't work.

He got shown up in that fight I think. It showed that the Maidana fight was no fluke.
