New York - The national Puerto Rican Day Parade usually comes with a taste of boxing in New York's Madison Square Garden. A big boxing card during that fight weekend has become a theme which has resonated with fighters such as Miguel Cotto and Felix Trinidad, two of the island's most popular boxers.

    Otro bulto!

You're fighting another nobody...and you might get your ass beat by a no-name mejicanito on the eve of the Puerto Rican Day Parade, bendito, people are forgetting the real star of the show is the three-time world champion, Roman Rocky Martinez, whom he might lose that night, but he'll go out on his shield🇵🇷

He's not getting beat by Piquet. Alvarez is slow of foot, throws wide, eats leather. He doesn't hit hard enough to hurt Verdejo, and there's no questions about Felix's chin so far. Piquet drops his left... he's made to order. I don't see an upset, just an ugly win if Felix can't finish him. Felix is not getting motivated by these guys, he thinks it's a nine to five, la la la, the fix is in.

While fighters that are at the same level as Verdejo like Anthony Joshua, Oscar Valdez & Errol Spence are fighting top of the line opposition & doing good, Verdejo is still fighting & struggling against tomato cans & potato bags..

thats why they are keeping him at that level because he is struggling with bums, do you honestly think if he wasnt struggling that they will still have him facing bums? no they would ahve stepped him up a bit by now.

Verdejo and his team blatantly ducked Jose Felix, who was supposed to be just the first step up the ladder, career-wise. I guess Top Rank is counting on fans not having seen that last fight, since it was in PR, but I know from the telecast that Jose Felix was the plan up until Verdejo struggled. They hyped it up weeks before the fight with a special boxing program, and even interviewed Verdejo about it on the actual night he struggled.

It was after the fight, and Verdejo, all bruised up, was like, "No se," saying it would be up to Top Rank. -_- And like an hour later, there was already a news report about Top Rank claiming that Jose Felix "priced himself out of the fight."

All in a span of a couple hours.

                C'mon.
