My point obviously wasn't DeGale's face being busted up as the main reason he didn't win by much. Did you watch the fight? If so, and you have 2 eyes working properly, attached to a properly working brain, then you'd agree it was no 117-111 fight. Much closer. Or do you have issue with that too?

If only fights were scored on facial bruising, hell why do the judges even watch the fight, why dont they just take facial scans and count the marks and colour. A computer could score it thus:~ m x c x d =w
where m is marks/bruises
c is change in colour on average
d is distortion from the face
w is the winner
