Can Wlad start dominating boxing again?

It seems like a lot of people think Wlad is finished but let's say Wlad looks really good and knocks out Tyson Fury in great fashion. That would basically make the first Fury victory look more like a fluke. A fully motivated Wlad beats any version of Fury with ease, that's what people are going to say.

Can you see AJ, Wilder Parker, Ortiz..etc beat him or will the near future (if Wlad wants to contniue) belong to Wlad again?

If Wlad really comes back from looking as bad as he did in that last fight, I'll be pretty fookin surprised. I mean he might beat Fury in the rematch, but idk if he can be ever be the dominant presence he was before. TBH I thought he didn't exactly dazzle against Jennings, so I was expecting the end to come soon (though not against Fury).

AJ and Ortiz would probably have beat the Klitschko that showed up against Fury. I don't have much confidence in Parker yet so I'd still pick Klit to beat him. Wilder is a tough call, my opinion would be swayed by how he looks against a good fighter like Povetkin.

Why would it be a fluke? Fury won damn near every round. It would prove more that Tyson didn't take it seriously rather than Wlad having an off night imo.

Also, I think win or lose Wlad will retire. I don't see him taking on AJ or Wilder or any of these guys really. He might have a final fight in Germany or something would be my guess.

But then again, we know that Wlad loves fighting and is extremely competitive so you never know.

Wlad can dominate the heavyweight division so long as he stays away from the bomb squad.

He won't get away with half the amount of clinching in other countries, especially against Fury in the UK. It should be an even easier fight for Fury even if he's only 80%. It was an easy fight the first time, he pretty much dominated Wlad for most of the fight.

I think Wlad might be on his way out for good, he was showing signs of slipping against Jennings, it wasn't only the Fury performance, but again that was partly because the ref didn't allow him to hold so much against Jennings in the USA. If Klitschko is penalised correctly for excessive holding he's not the same fighter but his age is also an important consideration to bear in mind. I think it might be downhill for Klitschko from now on, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't go out with a fight, I think even now he'll beat at least 90% of the competition.

I kinda wonder what the point would be. He ruled for 10 years. All that would happen now is he would have to work 3x as hard for the same thing.

Definitely an early 30s Wlad craps on all of these guys.

I think he means that's what people would say, not that that's what he personally believes.

Nope. Even if he beats Fury in the rematch his days are numbered. And I believe there is a bit of a cloak of invincibility opponents see when they face you when you are in a reign like Klitschko was, but after you lose & look as bad & as unsure of himself as Klitschko did in that loss guys get a whole lot braver & a whole lot more confident in their chances which also doesn't bold well for Klitschko having any sort of reclaiming of his previous status.

And I mean at his age if he wins I wouldn't be surprised if he retires anyway as there isn't a whole lot he could do that'll enhance his rep & everyone needs to quit eventually.

There is no other heavyweight like Fury who can make Wlad follow him, so yeah he could potentially be on top again. Wlad has been conditioned to either jab and the smother after the right hand, or just jab and smother if the right wasn't on. When he can't do that he doesn't know what to do. Fury was able to control the distance and prevent Wlad from doing the only thing he can do at this point and that's why he won.

It's debatable that anyone else in the heavyweight division can do that.
