    Are body shots overrated?

I see the strategy behind the idea of body shots. I just rarely see that strategy pan out successfully(wear the opponents stamina down by going to the body, throw movement off) etc. I just feel like most boxers I have seen with a body shot strategy end up losing the fight.

I don't think body shots do the proper damage unless times and placed correctly to knock wind out. Especially if the receiving end is in very good shape..

    Are body shots slightly overrated?

I think it depends on who is delivering the blows. Guys like Gallo Estrada and golovkin mix them into their arsenal and really hurt guys because they are so accurate. I feel like a lot of their success is predicated on their body work. But yes, for others it seems like a waste and it doesn't really help them.

If you have ever boxed you would know how effective they are. I got hit in the pit of my gut and it literally felt like someone shoved a vacuum into my mouth and ****** the air out.

I liked medina's activity and body work. It worked for him even though he got jobbed.

You ever taken a good shot to the body? Ever see someone stopped by a body shot? Head shot KOs happen because the brain is momentarily short-circuited. Body shot KOs happen because of sheer pain. Body blows tend to be overlooked by many, including judges. If anything, they are underrated, not the other way around.
