Comments Thread For: Vasyl Lomachenko: Nicholas Walters Kept Making Excuses

New York - In just his 7th pro fight, Vasyl Lomachenko (5-1, 3 KO's) is aiming to win a world title in his second weight class. To do that he must enter a house full of Puerto Ricans and beat the 130 pound WBO world champion Roman Rocky' Martinez (29-2-3, 17 KO's) on June 25th, the eve of the National Puerto Rican day parade inside The Theatre of Madison Square Garden.

Sounds like Walters took a page out of the 'Andre Ward: Path to irrelevancy' book.

      He flat out ducked Lomachenko.

Walters passed on the biggest fight of his life, just like Stevenson did with Kovalev in November 2013. Walters career will go down the same path now, I think

It's been real shady how Martinez was supposed to fight Berchelt in Mexico, then suddenly got injured a week before the bout, and now Lomachenko has jumped the queue ahead of Berchelt.

Bob Arum and the WBO, doe.

I await Thomas Hauser's in depth investigation into this matter.
