Yes it would. If pigs could fly it would be monumental for pigs. The odds in Canelo's favor are correct. Canelo wins by lopsided KO in 5 rounds or less. Khan won't win a single round. If you struggle with the likes of Diaz and Algieri you don't belong in the same ring with Canelo.

Khan's last 5 fights in 4 years have all been cherry picks against guys who couldn't punch. So now he takes one dangerous but very well paying fight with Canelo and he has these huge balls. Where were those big balls when he turned down offers to fight better fighters to fight washed up Diaz in England and punchless Algieri coming straight off a 6 knock down beat down by Pacquiao.

This is a dummy. Beating Canelo and a buck twenty will get you a starbucks latte.

The question isn't whether he'll win or not but IF by some miracle he does, then would it be monumental

So even though you and almost everyone else believe Khan has no chance in this fight because Canelo is such a powerful puncher and Khan has such a weak chin; even then if he defies the odds and wins, you don't think it counts as a huge sporting achievement?

You are 100% correct, shame on Canelo, I will be rooting for Khan big time even though he is against it, you have to admire his bottle for taking such a challenge. How can anybody not respect Khan for taking such a fight?! He talks big because he walks what he talks!

It would be more monumental for british boxing if this fight was actually in britain.

I won't lie my respect levels were dropping for Amir before this fight, little to no activity and a terrible effort against Algieri, but this proves how much ticker he has an his appetite for a challenge. Go Amir! If he wins i'll be very happy for him!

Khan is going to be outweighed by 15 to 20 lbs. His chin and Canelo's punch only make things worse. If Khan gets by all that, it's an achievent, tempered by the situation. Most would laugh at Canelo, before heaping praise on Khan.
