George Foreman: Luis Ortiz is better than I ever was

Well, there you have it from the horses mouth, Luis Ortiz is better than prime foreman.

Foreman also said "I wouldn't want to fight him in a dream, it would be my nightmare"

Wow, big George is sure heaping praise on Ortiz.

I agree with George though, and when he faces Tyson fury and Anthony Joshua, I see Ortiz leaving them both on the canvas for the full 10 count.

The guy Ortiz needs to stay away from is wilder, but hey no shame being second best to an atg like wilder

Ortiz is a beast. I won't say better than prime Foreman, but top of the heap right now. Only problem is, time is not on his side...

I said he was a stronger Bowe..i could see it. Foreman 1991 vs Ortiz would be a fight.,and Foreman wanted nothing to do with Bowe. No way would 1970's foreman want him..look at the Ron Lyle fight. The prime card is out dated, only a strong chinned guy would last if he lacked speed and that would be foreman 1990's not 1970's. I don't think he will a championship in this era though I would pick all belt holders to beat him for different reasons.

he meant fight him currently. Old George still thinks he can compete at his age

Foreman always praises today's fighters. He isn't bitter and broke like Duran and others who always **** on today's fighters. The sport needs more Foreman's and less Duran's.

Way too early for me to agree with Foreman but I do think Ortiz is the best heavyweight right now and he would beat all the belt holders. But sadly he's too dangerous for his own good. One punch ko power, southpaw, with boxing skills and fast hands, and oh yeah a long decorated amateur background/experience. Only negative is his age. He doesn't have much time and the belt holders will try to wait him out and will only fight him if they are mandated. hopefully by the time he gets those big fights he's not too old
