What Fighter Has Improved the Most?

Seeing a hot prospect is a great thing to witness. However, seeing that prospect in a tough fight or even in a loss and then growing from that is much more impressive.

I recall Pacquaio's first fight with Morales. In the second and third fights, he seemed much more complete and obviously, Morales felt the difference.

What fighters have you seen over the years that improved the most from where they started out?

Tyson Fury without a doubt. I defy anyone to watch his early fights and claim that they knew he'd one day become heavyweight champion of the world.

When I first saw Fury I thought he was going to be a British version of Tye Fields. If someone were to tell me he'd one day outbox Wlad Klitschko eleven rounds to one I'd slap them about the face and tell them to follow another sport. The level at which he's improved has been insane.

Having seen a few of his early fights, I totally agree. Didn't seem to be much there. How the times have changed for him. Much smarter in the ring now. And IMO outside the ring, as far as hyping a fight.

Morales felt the difference of struggling to make weight. He was winning the 2nd fight until he ran out of gas.

Fury, its been a steady improvement, after the first chisora fight I knew the guy had more about him than we all thought. Never saw him beating wlad though.

Also James Degale, after the groves fight he started looking horrible but his last 3-4 fights he's looked like an exceptional fighter, still needs to play to his own strengths more though

Oh I don't know. I'm a big Morales fan but he was rocked numerous times early on in that fight compared to their first meeting. And I don't think anyone can argue with the third fight. The weight hurt him, I'm sure, but I still noticed Pacquiao using that right hand to greater effect.

I have watched Canelo since he was a teenager. I thought the first time I saw him against Cotto's brother that he had the potential to be very good. Slowly but surely fight after fight he kept getting better until now I think he is one of the best fighters in the world. I don't think he is as good as GGG but he is very good in my opinion. I like Spence very much but I can't say he has improved that much. The first time I saw him fight I thought he looked fantastic. He looked so good to me that it was hard for him to get much better. I think Spence will continue to improve. I would bet on him to win against any active welterweight.
