Pacquiao polling 3rd with less then 2 weeks left

Looks like Manny is virtually guaranteed a senate seat on May 9 with how the polling is looking right now. I was always on the Floyd side of most Floyd vs Manny topics, but rooting for Manny to win this & do some good things in the world outside of boxing.

The top 12 win seats. These seats have 6 year terms with a workload that will insure Manny won't be able to continue his boxing career by most accounts. So the Manny comeback talk should end until 2022 if he comes in the top 12 on May 9.

SARANGANI Rep. Manny Pacquiao, fresh from his demolition of American Timothy Bradley, has slugged his way up in the senatorial race.

The 37-year-old Pacquiao has moved up to third behind front-runners, Senators Franklin Drilon and Vicente Sotto III, according to the results of the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

Of the 1,800 registered voters interviewed for the survey, 37 percent indicated preference for the Filipino boxing icon.

The survey was conducted from April 18 to 20, more than a week after Pacquiao scored a decisive unanimous decision over Bradley after dropping him twice in their April 9 fight in Las Vegas, Nevada. After the fight, he indicated retirement to serve the people.

The survey had a margin of error of plus-or-minus 2 percentage points.
sen-survey-0426In the previous March 30-April 2 SWS survey, Pacquiao ranked fifth to seventh with 31 percent, along with two other candidates.

In the latest survey, first published in BusinessWorld, Drilon held on to the top spot with 45 percent, followed by Sotto with 42 percent. In fourth place behind Pacquiao was former Sen. Francis Pangilinan, with 36 percent.

Judging by those names Filipinos must be Mexican, I always wondered why Filipinos have spanish sounding names, yet they are Asian.

like Nonito Donaire, Nonito thats like some latino type nickname you give to your kids.

            Yet they dont speak Spanish

Hey there are people in first world countries who can barely speak English, have welfare, and advantages that allow them opportunity and still don't do chit with their life but play victim and do ****** stuff, can't hate on Manny, at least the man never pitied himself, never played victim, and even though he has no education he made something of himself from nothing, he is inspiring at least you gotta give him credit, you should say to yourself if this guy with no education can be something I can too and im from the first world.
