I've picked Kovalev all along..and still do.

Kovalev by decision, Ward will win some rounds but gets dropped once or twice and loses around 116-110.

Ward will try to win even after being hurt, dudes a competitor and hasn't lost since 12 but Kovalev is a step too far for him imo. Can't see Ward outboxing him from range as that isn't really his specialty and fighting on the inside will mean he will have to pay on the way in, Kovalev is good at taking a step back and punishing that.

Props to both guys for making the fight happen.

I'm waiting to see the Kov vs Chilemba and Dre next fights.

Right now I don't know, I would favor Ward with his pedigree and speed.

Kovalev is sometimes hittable, but he surprised me more than once:

especially shuttin down Bernard's skills for 12 rounds, I know Nard is a grandpa but damn, he really outboxed him every minute of the fight.

They say "everybody's got a game plan until they get hit", it seems to be really true when it comes to Kov's fights.

My initial pick was Andre Ward, and I think I'm just gonna ride that instinctive pick out and see what happens. Unless Kov/Chilemba or Ward's next fight makes a particular statement, I'll be sticking with Ward.

Tough call as neither guy has faced a comparable opponent. Probably best to see how Ward looks in his next fight. As of now, I'd have to pick Kovalev.
