Former WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz (31-5-2, 24 KOs) has promised to get some payback on Saturday night, when he faces Andre Berto (30-4, 23 KOs) in a rematch of their 2011 'Fight of The Year' war.

Seen Ortiz choke so many times before..

Berto I'd assume will be a little sharper, or at least ought to be.

Whoever wins this fight is probably going to get Canelo within a year I'd guess.

I was thinking the winner might get Danny Garcia or the winner of Thurman vs porter.

That's a good call, I think either of these guys is just fodder for one of the younger champs either way.

Sounds like the kid is ready to fight. We'll see if he can still put something together. Win or loose, he's usually fun viewing.

But what a head job man. Him, Cintron,...Someone should do a thread on the most mentally unstable boxers in the last 20 years. No doubt Ortiz is in the top 5.

hey vic, its not that the fire in you is not there anymore. its the fact that u aint got no heart. lol

ortiz is the type of fighter that could be winning the fight by a margin, gets hit with a clean shot, got hurt and then quit.

Anyone think this means anything good for Victor & bad for Andre this weekend or is he practicing his acting chops?

So you're upset they write you off after you quit not once, but twice, and also get beaten by a journeyman josesito.. you got more than enough chances. Now it's time to man up or stfu for good!

I've been waiting on this fight and I'm glad fight week is upon us! I don't know why because neither are or will be contenders, but it's a good scrap. BTW, berto by TKO no later than the 7th. Ortiz demons will come back to haunt him after the first flush right hand land
