Nice news. Always good to hear that big fights get made when they 'should' do rather than when they 'could' do.

Big fights not being made for years, for whatever reasons, have that 'turn-off' effect for a lot of fans so it is nice to hear a big fight come together like this.

If the winner is Ward, then we can expect the Stevenson fight to follow soon. If Kovalev wins, no fight. Kathy Duva, that whore, will never allow it to happen.

Saw what she did to Fury and Wilder, her fighter, Glazkov was in negotiations to fight Wilder for his wbc belt, then, when she heard about Fury-Wlad rematch clause, she conspired to get Fury stripped so that she can have her fight for and win a vacant belt instead of fighting a real champ like Wilder, for a more recognisable belt.

Then she ran to the media and tried to blamed the whole thing on Wilder, like she has done with the whole Kovalev-Stevenson scenario.

So no, don't hold your hopes up for a Kovalev-Stevenson fight, win or lose, that fight won't happen. If Kovalev loses, Stevenson will lose interest, apparently he believes that a guy who loses, and doesn't avenge his loss, doesn't belong in the ring with him (based on what he said about Pascal).

Ward-Stevenson, there is no excuse for this one not to happen if Ward wins. I doubt Ward and roc nation will play the games that Duva has been playing.
