  • Comments Thread For: Thurman: Ask Danny Garcia's 'Daddy' If He'll Fight A Big Dog

NEW YORK Keith Thurman would love to fight Danny Garcia if Thurman beats Shawn Porter on June 25 in Brooklyn. The unbeaten WBA welterweight champion isn't so sure the feeling is mutual.

Danny Garcia should just cash out with a big fight vs. Adrien Broner. He probably has no chance vs. Thurman, Porter, Brook, or Spence Jr. I think Broner or Omar Figueroa Jr. are much safer opponents, but Broner draws more fans.

I used to be a big Garcia fan. I couldnt care less about him at this point. He doesn't want to take big fights. After his father said Thurman & Porter should fight Salka level opponents rather than face each other I was done with DSG

no chance are you ****** Danny can beat all of these guys stop it. porter is a b level fighter who only has 1 style to fight tackle and smother. Thurman has had his chin checked by lesser opponents and lucky Collazo quit to save him from that vicious body shot Danny adapts to fights and can win in multiple ways not just 1 we will see Danny fight the top dogs and beat them just like he did at 140

That's what you do. Danny got the belt that everyone wants in that division so they call him out on it in some fashion or take shots because right now, he is where the money is at...

Boxers isn't ******. Everyone believe that Danny is the type of opponent that you step in the ring with and walk straight threw him. But no one seems to understand that Danny adapt to any style of fight. Even in the Khan fight... I watch it a million of times and everyone act like Khan was giving it to him and Danny got lucky, where everyone knows that's not the case because it was Danny working that body to slow Khan down.

I'm a huge Garcia fan and I like the way he rises to the top and everyone wants to hate on him like their resume is anywhere close to his.....

Come on now Keith, we can compare resumes and ask who really needs to step up. Remember Guerrero was a step up for Thurman and considered a soft touch for Garcia. Honestly outside of Spence and probably Pac, I don't see anyone at the weight beating Danny

People must think Garcia is someone to play with and then get in there and realize it's not that easy. Garcia is no small welterweight. He won't even say what he walks around at when asked because it's probably close to 170 pounds. Thurman just need to focus on Porter right now then come for Danny...

Yea If you watch that fight closely after a few rounds Garcia started getting closer and closer to khan breaking him down and really walking through his punches. Khan always comes out with the spectacular dazzling speed then after a few rounds slows down a lot. That's why he has 0 chance at beating Canelo at 155 cuz once he slows down that's his azz and from what I seen in training Canelo is actually quicker than Khan at 155

It's actually why Garica didn't look so great against Guerrero, he was considered a soft touch so Garcia basically fought to the level of his competition that night. I think he is so use to being the underdog coming up it really takes a high risk fight for Danny to bring his A game.
