Comments Thread For: Paul Smith Return Set For Crolla-Barroso Card

Paul Smith has had his return date and opponent confirmed. The Liverpool super middleweight, who was set to return earlier this month in his home city before withdrawing due to what was described as a bad virus', will see action for the first time in over 10 months this weekend.

What the fu ck is the point of this fat schmuck wasting everyone's time (including his own) with an eight-round 'marking time' fight?!

He's in his thirties. He just fought one of the best fighters in the world in his last fight. Took an ungodly shellacking, should never have been in the same ring, true, but going from that to fighting a Hungarian journeyman? Where's the logic?

Paul Smith was horribly outclassed by world-level operators in his last two fights, so he can be forgiven for dropping down a level but he's basically fallen off the ladder and, from the floor, reached for the lowest rung.

As I said, a waste of everyone's time. Same applies for Coyle, who Hearn seems to have forgotten about.

CROLLA!! Steal the show man, box this fool. This will be the fight of the night, Canelo v Khan is a freak show (155 lb title) with a better undercard. Move on him Anthony, Barroso has 2 draws against some bums in the Amazon. Something is loose in his game, it's not air tight.
