The Fury's whine about not being liked, but Tyson flies off the handle more than Saul Alvarez denies that he's a middle weight. I get that he's responding to David's comments, sure. But there is something to be said about not taking the bait and thinking things through.
Unfortunately, these knee jerk reactions make him come across as oafish and easily provoked.Comment

How exactly did he bottle it?
First time he pulled out he had a badly cut eye. He showed pictures of the injury at the time, it was obviously completely necessary to postpone the fight. In fact, even if he wanted to go ahead with the fight, the Board of Control would not have allowed him to.
If he had really bottled it, why would he have rescheduled the fight for February, only to bottle it AGAIN? Makes no sense.
Second time, as we all know, Haye badly injured his shoulder in training and had to fly to Germany for reconstructive surgery, which kept him out of the ring for the whole of 2014 and 2015.
But wait, I suppose it's more likely that he bottled it - twice - and, in order to make it less suspect, took the whole of 2014 and the whole of 2015 off, thereby wasting two of his prime years, during which he could have earned millions upon millions of pounds.
Why on earth would Haye, who had fought Wladimir Klitschko and Nikolai Valuev, both of whom were significantly heavier than him, swerve a fight with a relatively untested Fury?
In 2013, Haye would have knocked Fury out cold. He'd just come off one of his best performances, knocking out Chisora, and Fury was coming off the fight with Cunningham, during which he heavily hit the deck.
Anyone who claims Haye 'bottled it' from Fury is deluded.
Slow down, champ, with all the introducing actual logic into an internet debate.
Don't you know you're not supposed to make so much sense on Boxing Scene?Comment

I thought Haye bottled at least one of those fights. Probably his training camp wasn't going well so he faked an injury. He was very very quiet in the build up to the Fury fights and Fury was mentally dominating him. Up to that point Haye was a loud mouth makig all the noise himself.
Anyone who has read the Mike Tyson autobiography will know he pulled out a few fights by faking injury or illness because his training camp went bad. He said it's a common trick used by trainers. Sometimes he did it to screw the other guy's preparations up and get an advantage.
I still think a lot of people forget Haye is a Cruiserweight. He can be physcially dominated and knocked out by almost anyone who can land a punch. What's his best win in the heavyweights? and who after that? See... Haye is just after one big fight now so he can retire again.Comment

Everybody in boxing thinks this guy is a joke
Nobody respects him. He's walking around like he did something when he couldn't even hurt a man 13 years his senior that wouldn't throw a punch
I hope Klitschko ends him and promptly retires.
