How come in boxing we have no trouble admitting...

In boxing we seem have no trouble admitting that Mexican boxing fans are overly critical towards Puerto Rican boxers, and that Puerto Rican boxing fans are over critical towards Mexican boxers. It just seems natural, seeing as how deep the Mexico-Puerto Rico boxing rivalry has been.

So why can't we see the big picture when it comes to what groups are over critical towards boxers from other areas. For instance, there is a lot of negative bias against boxers that come from Russia and Eastern Europe. By now, most of us know which groups hate seeing other groups do well in the sport. Why is it politically incorrect to make these connections when they are right in front of us?

The same people that despised Wlad went on to hate Golovkin, then Kovalev, and now Lomachenko. There's a pattern that must be exposed for the better sake of boxing.

        Cos they dindu nuffinz.

Nah it's because of decades of the greatest anti racist minds in history setting the past straight.

So even when they are just athletes, and not even from the old colonial powers, their skin color makes them fair game.

Remember the old days the Puertorriqueño fans be like "Culero" taking about the Golden Boy!

And the Mexican fans be yelling "Puto Riqueno!" I remember the days!

It could be argued that the same people that hated BHOP went on to hate Floyd, Rigo, Lara, Broner, Spence, Ward, Crawford and so on...

But let me guess, you don't want to discuss those cases for some odd reason?

The Mexico-Puerto Rico rivalry is the biggest in boxing, but I don't think you can really take much of what's said seriously. I think both sides have deep respect for one another. All the other stuff is kind of like "diss records" in fake, rap beefs. If anyone is serious about the stuff they say, then that'd be ridiculous unto itself, because they'd be making fun of some of the greatest warriors to ever grace a ring.

I do think boxing is an almost inherently racially-divided sport in many ways, but I believe that as education broadens, and people start to realize we're all connected genetically, the lines will begin to blur. That'll take time.

Nevertheless, boxing is a sport that clearly shows everyone, at one point or another, that we're all equals. Even if you prop a fighter back up (as some White people did back in the day), defeat is just imminent sometimes. We'll all have to learn to respect each other.
