If Canelo loses his MW belt to a guy who's barely even fought at 147, that is extremely embarrassing. Khan was still fighting 144 catchweights a few fights ago and best win at WW is Devon Alexander who then lost to a total journeyman. khan hasn't had a really excellent win for 6 years and back at 140lbs, when he beat Maidana.

I'm not knocking Khan there, he is what he is. But Canelo having him as an opponent for a MW fight is a joke. If Khan wins, he deserves credit but also Canelo should be ridiculed when you look at the facts. Khan is a name but he hasn't done a thing in over half a decade.

I'm sure the way Floyd hammered Canelo and the trouble Lara, Cotto and trout gave him I'm sure I would put in a rematch clause.

Why the fans don't like this is Canelo wants it all perfect ,the catchweight , the rematch clause the weak opponent , it really is a joke .For a guy to call himself the middleweight champion but refuse to fight fighters who are true middleweights and say they have to come down to fight him (or up in Khans case) is truly appalling and this from a guy who enters the ring at light heavy.

Like I say this is a joke of a fight ,Canelo should be fighting GGG. for the middleweight title and Khan should be fighting Brook for the welterweight title and the uk bragging rights and the truth is BOTH would be earning loads more millions for doing this and BOTH are the fights the fans want to see.....doesn't THIS tell you something ?

LOL between this comment & the "well GGG wouldn't fight Ward" comment yesterday these guys' ship is going off course. They need to re-navigate their direction I think.
