Comments Thread For: Thurman: If I See Damage, I Won't Hesitate in Ending Porter Early

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Keith Thurman will soon stand face to face with Shawn Porter at a kickoff press conference. And it'll shock precisely no one to hear that a guy nicknamed "One Time" is pretty confident that he'll emerge the winner when the two men finally get together on June 25 at the Barclays Center. But it's not just a successful first defense of a WBA welterweight title that Thurman is after.

Isn't Porter the guy that knocked Malinagi around the ring like a rag doll ? Haha. Should be a good fight

Thurman would never admit he's weak to the body, but I'm sure Porter and his people noticed it. Expect Porter to double Thurman over mid rounds for a body KO.... after an excellent fight up to that point. Thurman gives that big evil look at the staredown, but you can tell Porter isn't shook. And that will show from the beginning of the fight.

Thurman looks absolutely ridiculous in his stare downs

Thurman is a joke, I expect Porter to smother him and the fight to be a draw or split decision yawn-fest

It's a big fight for Thurman. He's primed for even bigger fights if he wins. Big for Porter too but not in the same way. People feel like they've seen his ceiling.

Thurman has a pretty good understanding of Porter's weaknesses.

I think he'll land something good early that makes Porter hesitant the rest of the night. I don't think Thurman stops him though.

I am so over Thurman. I look forward to Spence cleaning out the WWs. So tired of Thurman's narrative. He is not as good as he thinks he is.

Should be a good fight as someone has already posted thurman needs to get porters respect early (think this fight will show weather his power is real or not)otherwise I can see porter rushing in and grinding to the body and forcing thurman to fight on the inside. Don't think he'll get the stoppage but I'm hoping porter pulls it off

Anyone know the odds for the fight
