That's a fair question. Shane has been acting a little strangely the last few years. There's no doubt about that. He's more aggressive and bizarrely candid about his personal life and his past. Particularly regarding his women. It seems hard to ignore the connection. The broads ****ed him up IMHO. His current partner, Trista, is a grounding force for him, seemingly, and while they have had problems she by all accounts has been a positive force in his life.. Regardless, damage was done that probably cannot be undone.

Can't blame it all on the women, he has made some bad choices in life.

It depends on the individual. Whatever a person places importance on and makes themselves vulnerable to can have an impact on them. For you it might be something else. For Shane it's largely been women. Yes, there have been other things as well, but those things haven't seemed to be the primary trigger for his strange behavior. The women have. Jin and Bella, specifically.
