    Hopkins v Tarver

i know there are probably already several threads about this but I can't seem to sift through them and find the real predictions for this fight. I want to know what the very wise collective whole of boxingscene thinks is going to happen. Is Tarver just going to eat BHop? I secretly want BHop to win but i'm definately thinking I shouldn't keep my hopes up at all

I think Tarver is going to win either by UD or maybe even a late stoppage of sorts. He is too strong for B-Hop.B-Hop had problems with the taller Taylor and now he gets a similar guy who is a south paw it just has disater written all over it IMO for Hopkins.

Im also rooting for Hopkins.I would love to see him end his
career with a win over Tarver. But I tend to doubt it.Hopkins
can simply be outworked at this stage in his career.Im going
      with Tarver by decision.

I honeestly think B-HOP will destroy Tarver and wont compare either JT fight to what i think Tarver will do simply becuz JT'S future will speak for itself and why he beat B-HOP... As for Tarver i think he can handle his own but will be to tired in say round 11 when he gets stopped!

Both are old. Tarver's bigger. Both are counterpunchers by nature; but Hopkins is more skilled defensively and very conservative. My gut tells me this is going to be one boring ass fight with Tarver winning by a UD.

He knocked Oscar De La Hoya out with a body shot boss. And that was only like four fights ago and just over 1 1/2 years.

Tarver has the age, reach, height, and weight advantage. He should win. But I just dont like Tarver. Why doesnt Tarver take on Calzaghe or move up to cruiserweight.

here is my prediction for the fight...

someone debate with me if you think im wrong ...in just about every fight i have seen tarver in towards the late rounds he gets EXTREMELY fatigued ...and I DO MEAN EXTREMELY ... it was so bad in the 2nd GLEN JOHNSON FIGHT that Tarver bent over and took some breaths...Tarver did the rocky movie so he put about 30lbs of solid muscle..MUSCLE... (i would be curious to know what his body fat percentage was) anyhow... he has to come down to 170 from 210...all muscles...thats insane, plus he gets winded toward the late rounds.... you see how he hurt roy jones and he couldnt finish him because he was fatigued ... my prediction..is hopkins is too much of a ****in skilled boxer, who knows every trick in the book... i think hopkins hit tarver all night with straight right hands... and I MEAN ALL NIGHT...i dont think hopkins will knock him out but he will peck him to death with straight right hands... it will kind of look like a raheem vs morrales fight... i think hopkins will make him use a lot of energy in the early rounds and because of the weight and tarver not having good endurance tarver will be too tired to fight and hopkins will dominate the late rounds ... hopkins might even be able to knock him out but hopkins will definitely win the fight by decision...
