If I'm his manager, following the Khan fight, I get him to move up to say 157 and fight a middling middleweight and see how he handles himself. If not so good, get his ass back down to 154 and book in a fight with whoever is worth it there.

What some fail to understand is GGG is after Canelo's WBC middleweight title. Once he is awarded that title then he no longer cares about fighting Canelo and Canelo is safe from the G monster forever. Oscar has no intention of having Canelo fight GGG until about 2020 so Canelo can gain experience and improve and GGG can go past prime. What Oscar seems to forget is Canelo being WBC middleweight champ was the only reason GGG wanted to fight Canelo in the first place. Once GGG owns the WBC belt he could care less if he ever fights Canelo because he has many other very attractive options available to him. If he does fight Canelo it will be on his terms and he won't be dictated to in the negotiations.

I think they want the belt but they certainly want that name on the resume as well. I see them getting the belt when Canelo drops it then offering like 157 to Canelo for next May. Hopefully in the meantime BJS fights GGG and GGG has all the titles

Nah man. Nelo needs to fight GGG next. Mexican fans won't take him ducking a guy for 6 years the way Mayweather fans tolerated it.
