I score those kinds of body punches. So even when Bute got a round, it was pretty close(spare 1 or 2 rounds Bute clearly won). In a situation like that, sometimes there will be a wide score and it not be dishonest or incompetent. You must have felt it was too wide?
Believe me, I saw Bute as the one who had the center of the ring, and was often times trynig to come forward and be lively and press action, but he kept running into the body attack. He had to concede grounds for a while here and there and then came alive again. Bute was competitive, but Jack was too consistent for me to edge into feeling like it was Bute's fight except at the end. He definitely had some momentum and had the fight continued, he would have been in a good position...but slow momentum build isn't always reflected on the scorecard.
The best I could could up with if I tried is 115-113 for Bute. i'd more easily make it to 117-111 than 114-114
