we can end this argument right now; who would of PAID PPV money for that GGG fight last Saturday?! NOBODY! sure he has fans, but the people he's fighting are no namers who aren't top 10 fighters. he's not a money fighter, Canelo is. and Canelo isn't going to lose fans because Oscar is too scared to let his cash cow fight GGG

This fight now is arguably the biggest matchup in terms of money and fan interest.

Most def Canelo is willing to lock horns. And his fans continue to remind detractors that he pushed GBP to make fights against Trout and Lara. Now that Canelo is a superstar, there should be no problem in demanding an event with GGG in September.... if he REALLY wants the fight. i.e. ultimately it's his call.

So. If the fight in September does not get made; if he fights another opponent a weight class below his fight night weight; his rep will take a hit.

His fans want to continue to live under the illusion that he's a great fighter and the longer he can avoid getting put to sleep by ggg, the longer that can defend him with all of their passion and delusion.
