Last time I checked, Floyd and Manny were never mandatories to each other.

Secondly, Floyd and Manny walk around weight and fight night weight is 150lbs, Canelo fight night weight ranges from 168-172lbs (probably....no, obviously even higher now given how huge he looked in his last fight).

Also, Floyd and Manny don't hold titles at middleweight last time I checked.

Are you ****** the number 1 and 2 best fighters in the world in the same damn division but you think the organizations never felt either guy was the number 1 ranked fighter to challenge each other. They were never officially mandated because the belt organizations were/are frauds and the moment you tell Floyd you either fight Manny or we strip your belt or vice versa to Manny what do you think either guy would of done? They would of thrown the belt in the trash! Both guys were dug in or numerous reasons for why the fight was not happening. They were NEVER mandated because everyone including the belt organizations knew these 2 fighters are bigger then our belts and this fight will only happen if they agree on it not because we mandate it and if we do it blows up in our faces and we lose them as the champion of our belt.

Floyd held a belt at 154 that he won at catchweight of 152 which had a mandatory challenger set before he won the belt just like Canelo before he beat Cotto. But mysteriously this was NEVER enforced and Floyd ended up keeping this belt for 2 years NEVER defending it against ANY mandatory 154lb fighter and had unlimited voluntary defenses of this 154 belt exclusively fought at 147.

Cotto vacated his belt a week before his last fight and guess what he didn't lose a single Puerto Rican fan! And this man held the title and didn't fight GGG for a year and a half. But if Canelo vacates the belt 6 months after he won it you think Mexican's will turn on him? How many fans did Floyd and Manny lose when they went 5 years without fighting each other? How many fans did Fury lose when he vacated his belt? How many fans did Bradley lose when he vacated his belt? Floyd spent 2 years REFUSING to defend his 154 title at 154. A belt he won at catchweight 152 and defended strictly at 147. The ONLY reason Floyd wasn't stripped of his 154 titles despite not fighting the mandatory challenger for that belt before he won it is because they knew that Floyd would of vacated the belt if they tried to enforce him to fight at 154 or an opponent who did NOT agree to Floyd's terms. Floyd was bigger then any belt and he picks who he fights. Canelo is in that position now, so is Cotto, Manny ect.

Fans especially once you get to the highest level of boxing want to see big fights and could careless what belt the fighters hold or are on the line. Canelo has given his fans big fight after big fight. GGG can hold on to every meaningless and vacant belt and keep defending them against no named bums like Wade who are 100 to 1 underdogs. None of that will give him leverage over the bigger superstars. That trumps any belt. He needs to do what he said he would and either go up or down in weight to get the bigger names. Or he can stay at 160 and fight bums.

Why? Because if they didn't allow that, then Floyd would have had to hold off his rematch against Maidana and defend his title, then do the rematch only after that, at which point he would have had one fight left in his contract, putting the Manny Pacquioa fight in jeapardy in case negotiations failed, also there would have been a smaller of time to negotiate and promote the pac fight if it was in sept and on top of that it wouldn't have made as much money in sept as it did in May.

A technical BOXER should Never only land 22% of their jabs to a MUCH slower boxer. Mayweather landed 46% of his jabs. But of course he didn't RUN. Floyd more than doubled the punches landed compared to Canelo.

Lara landedl the same amount of punches. Sorry Canelo landed 10 less. Canelo landed 60% more power ounches. Do your self a favor because I'm not gonna watch that sht fight again.
