Comments Thread For: Luis Ortiz's Manager: Cohen Lawsuit Won't Prevent June Return

Keep him active. Ortiz would beat Wilder, but he will get sparked out in the Motherland :/

GBP seem to sign fighters without any care for past agreements (Canelo, Ortiz, few others), this'll come back to bite them in the ass one day.

But they cry about what Haymon did to them...

The GBP/TR/Donaire situation was also a huge mess.

Ortiz is tge best HW in the world.

The only HW that actually has skills not like all the other robotic HWs today.

So Ortiz is solely getting sued? Not Golden Boy?

That's a first. Surprised this hasn't been resolved.

Ortiz needs to get back in the ring asap. Get the mandatory out of the way. Then the second half of the year try to fight the bigger names of the division.

Stopping a man from making a living helps who? You can't get paid, so nobody gets paid? These guys are not buying people with these contacts. Why can't boxers stop crooked promotors from promoting if that's the case?

Its better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.

I still remember when Manny signed with GBP for a minute. I think GBP parlayed that into getting a % of Manny's purses for awhile iirc.

Under Golden Boy the career of Ortiz quickly ramped up to the big time. He didn't have as much notoriety when he was with Greg Cohen.

I can see why King Kong wanted to make the move, hopefully he did it legally so that his career doesn't stagnate.
