If there weren't any round limits, Canelo would still be boxing Matthew Hatton.

Who knows. Maybe he would have lasted longer, different styles. Wade looked very limited anyway so he was always going to get caught at some point.

With that said, who has Canelo really knocked out in recent times apart from Kirkland? Kirkland was an inactive fighter who already shown in the past he has no chin. Angulo took a lot of shots but never even wobbled. Outside of that, his last real KO was Josesito Lopez, a welterweight. Does he have the power to KO a fully fledged MW? probably only if they are very chinny.

I don't think Canelo is a big puncher at all, he has respectable power, but then it's hard to know how good Wade's chin is. Being KO'd by GGG isn't an indication of being Chinny, so who knows if Canelo could stop Wade that quick.

Can't and won't fault your logic about kirkland without Anne.

But, my point is that Kirkland, even that Kirkland, is a different level altogether than Wade.

And BTW, Wade had all he wanted with light punching Soliman and looked mighty chinny himself last night...I mean some of those shots he got knocked down with were not even solidly landed.

Wade vs canelo would have been a close fight for 12 rounds

You got good points, but I think that the shell of Kirkland is worse that Wade. According to fat Dan,Kirkland was 200lbs,3 months before the fight. That's 45 lbs in 3 months to make 155. He couldn't have been healthy.

Canela would go the distance and lose 4-5 rounds.

                  If that's true, it's a pity.

And yeah, Anne woulda never have let him get away with that...

Canelo knocks him out inside five rounds.
