This is why I kinda want Canelo's cherrypick to backfire


The worst thing that happened to this division was Martinez losing to Cotto

The worst thing to happen was Martinez's age and injuries which led to the Cotto fight, otherwise Martinez v GGG would have happened at some stage but after the Murray fight, Martinez realised he had very little time left and he'd take a fight with the least possible risk for the best possible reward.

If only GGG had come onto the scene 18 months earlier and Martinez had been 2 years younger. Oh man, what a fight!
