How many more tuneups does Ward need, 10, 15?

Yeah I skipped the card last night. Caught up on some much needed sleep. Let me know when Gonzalez and Estrada square off again or when GGG fights a live body.

PPV. Purses were funded by profit from Mayweather-Pacquiao. It didn't take money away from other more competitive fights and prevent them from being made. HBO are pandering to the casual fans, the kind of fans that will abandon boxing as soon as this hype job loses.

Boxing is not dying but these fools who are glad that Mayweather and Pacquiao are retired are going to miss them in two to three years. They can't see how no one gives a damn about this sport nowadays. Some are trying to blame Mayweather vs Pacquiao being boring for boxings decline. First off, the media built Mayweather Pacquiao, they made that fight into something it really wasn't and are now looking for someone to blame because the fight didn't live up to the expectations.

Boxing has been on life support for years! The Floyd and Manny rivalry kept it afloat for some time. Now that the two fought and the dust has been settled there is nothing left to really get excited about. GGG is already 34 and hasn't fought anyone and Canelo is a good fighter but not a great one. Boxing doesn't have too much exceptional talent or exceptional personalities left.

Fights that are very one sided, favouring one guy over another aren't a good thing for hardcore fans, that's true. But the general boxing audience wasn't at all deterred by the Golovkin - Wade fight. GGG did what any top fighter should've done in that fight, ideally. He demolished Wade, walked right through him with no problem whatsoever. Boxing fans have seen elite guys go a lot more rounds with a lot more difficulty in beating sub par opponents in the past. It's not uncommon to see that. Would you rather see Golovkin win a boring 12 round decision ? That would be what kills boxing !

How quickly people forget the many other so called "greatest fighters" of their day that fought long lines of bums to pad their records. Joe Louis had the bum of the month club. Ali fought his share of bums. Tyson smashed through a long line of bums. I won't mention the modern day diva boys who've picked and chose their opponents with extreme care and would only fight if every condition was in their favour. (ie. ring size, glove size, referee, judges, venue, etc.). You people like to mention how your boy is the A side, "doe", and use that as an excuse that their behaviour is acceptable. Well guess what? Golovkin was the A side against Wade. Now you're saying that A side crap isn't acceptable ?! Hypocrites.

LOL This is the night the UFC had the worst "title fights" in recent memory and had a terrible card overall. Everyone has lulls guys..
