Canelo has to get past Khan first, which he should do but it wont be that easy if Khan still has the same speed at 155.

Canelo has not fought a strong 160lb'er and against hard hitting GGG that might mean he will try to build up a bit more or just outright duck GGG till he has nowhere to go.
(ie: ticket sales slow down fighting at 155)
Canelo is young enough to lose to Mayweather and GGG and still come back but he will wait till the money on the table, is at it's richest.
He has more time than GGG.

Jacobs vs GGG is a good fight and Avtandil Khurtsidze wouldnt win but would be better than BJ Saunders.

Alvarez fights Khan May 7th, insists on the fight with Golovkin being at 155 in his post-fight interview/presser, hands back the WBC their belt with a nice written statement before May 20th, and angles for the biggest fight that he can set up for September 17th (Mexican Independence Day weekend).

With Cotto-Marquez seemingly being set up for the Fall, if Alvarez can't get Pacquiao, I see him fighting a rugged guy like Gabriel Rosado (with the undercard filled with Mexico vs PR scraps).

You add that Alvarez-Cotto II would likely be in the cue, and I doubt that anyone in Canelo's camp is really sweating it.

        That actually sounds pretty likely.

No way in hell his first fight at 160 is against GGG. He'll fight Lemieux in September and GGG in May.

                That sounds very likely.

                It's a shame though.

Both guys look ready to me.
