people like to be entertained old man. Not everyone looks to boxing for some sort of intellectual enlightenment like a few of you geeks on here. You're in the minority when it comes to what entertains people.

I like competitive boxing bashing no hopers has never impressed me even when I was your age mugging a bum was not entertainment , seems time have changed where the bash is everything and 2 real fighters squaring up means nothing .

Shannon Briggs, Deontay Wilder, Adrien Broner, the senior Mayweathers, Ruben Guerrero, Billy Joe Saunders and Tyson Fury are the ones keeping the division from dying as it is. Without them it'd be a DULL business.


Watching Wade in that video he legit was not expecting G to walk through his punches. Might have to do some casual research on G's drug testing; reminded me of Rocky IV with Drago and Creed - except that Wade got ended before he died in the ring.

$500k purse(fee to Haymon, fee to manager, fee to trainers, camp expenses, and taxes; assuming that TGB got broken off before Wade got his purse) likely means that Wade took home $150k-$200k once everyone got their piece.

Put that money into rental property in his hometown, take a little time to heal the wounds, and then get back on the path to stringing together the fights for another mandatory title shot (WBC or IBF being the most straightforward).

He's only 26; hopefully he's ready by the next one.

Yea, clearly. Breaking down net income was beyond the scope of my post but I think he should by a humble home and keep at the sport. I don't think most boxers have the life skills to be managing rental properties but I think we generally agree. He at least has a name now, even if that name is, "the brother Golovkin KO'd in the 2nd round in early 2016". That's more than he had before.

Yep. Thats just it though, commentators it seems go more and more over the edge with all the fake gushing over the 'star'. Sometimes I just turn the volume off and watch the fight uninterrupted by all the b.s.

I often do that and it's strange to come here and see the threads afterward. I'll wonder how the hell these people came to their conclusions but watching again with the network commentary explains it. Power of suggestion is frightening.
