I don't see Golovkin jumping two weight divisions when he's getting paid $1m+ to fight at 160, he wouldn't get that much more against Kovalev.
    I disagree...

GGG vs Jacobs, Kovalev and Canelo are the biggest matches in boxing right now.

GGG vs Kovalev > Ward vs Kovalev

Floyd would rather fight someone like Andre Berto so I say GGG should fight say Joshua Clottey should be his opponent this way he can be the true TBE.
Y'all wouldn't give GGG props either way so he should fight Clottey at 160.

Golovkin gets roughly $1.5m per fight, how much do you think he gets v Kovalev?

$3m? is the extra $1.5 (he could get fighting another MW in an extra bout) enough to have him jump two weight classes? I doubt it.

Beating Kovalev is not going to make him a PPV star either, nor is beating Jacobs. Canelo might.

GGG gets his biggest purses he's ever made vs Jacobs, Canelo or Kovalev.

GGG just told Canelo he's a businessman and not out to see who's the best. Is this what you're insinuating GGG should do? Be a businessman?

That's just Boone's opinion. I'm sure the boss Loeffler would not do that, he knows they're too dangerous. Boone is on the payroll, and when he fought Ward he had 6 fights, when he fought Kov the first time he had 9 fights. He's now GGG's sparring partner. It's hardly anything to go by really. The fights are unrealistic.

I really hope to see Ward fight Kovalev, Stevenson, DeGale, though. Beterbiev can get it if he keeps building his record, maybe 2018, he's too green right now.

GGG isn't even big for middleweight. Why do people want him to fight 175 pounders.

This has become a joke. Anything to avoid telling it like it is; Canelo is a *****.

I'd take Kovalev and Ward over GGG at 172-175lb. It takes more than power to win fights, there are weight classes for a reason. That's not a knock on GGG though, he's a decent sized MW and 168lbs would seem to be his celling.

I'm looking at HBO's budget and the likelihood of the fight. Nothing more, nothing less.

Golovkin would need $3m minimum, thus Kovalev would be pushing for something similar. HBO aren't paying $6 million for bout where neither guy is PPV.
