Comments Thread For: DeGale Lists Goal of Unification, Then 175 For Stevenson, Kovalev

JAMES DeGALE plans to become undisputed world super-middleweight this year and then move up a division. The Londoner makes a second defence of his IBF world title against Mexican Rogelio Medina in Washington on Saturday night and says victory will set up a showdown with US-based Swede Badou Jack back home in early September.

I like DeGale. A very ambitious fighter who wants to fight the best and willing to go to his opponent's home turf to do it.

Did Chunky forget to mention Beterbiev? Or the other dude who is just pursuing greatness at LHW?

Good luck there chunky but the move up is a stiff one, would like to see a Groves rematch first.

James must not have too easy of a time cutting 168. Not exactly a lot of money fights at 175 where 168 he has some big money fights with Groves rematch and Smith and even Golovkin.

I'd pick degale to beat Stevenson. Problem is Stevenson only fights second tier super middleweights or journeyman light heavies. A top notch super middle like degale won't be chosen. I'm not sure Stevenson would even fight Chavez Jr.

He means Ward, because Ward will be The Ring, WBO, WBA, IBF Light Heavyweight champion by the end of 2016.

He might not know who he is.

I'd say DeGale moving up is some way off. Jack-Bute winner, Ramirez, Groves II all to come.
