Ward points, possible stoppage but doubtful.

        He would've stolen Bute's lunch.

Ward probably foresaw himself getting sparked by one of those left uppercuts by Bute. Why he didn't take the fight.

Ward (by ugly decision) but it would have been a very curious event. Bute was THE guy outside of the tournament and with Ward having just beaten Froch, this would have been for all the marbles. Sadly Ward needed a vacation and Froch needed an opponent. Turned out to be better in the end because we got Froch's destruction of Bute and Froch solidifying his place as one of the best SMWs of all time.

School would have been in session had they fought. Ward made a mistake turning that fight down; boxing gift wrapped a hype job for the winner of the Super Middleweight tournament.

Bute offered a two fight deal. One in jOakland and one in Quebec. I reckon the homer would win.

There's a reason Ward ducked Bute.

My guess is that Ward would have won back in 2012.
But Ward was coward enough and didn't have any self-confidence in order to face Bute then.
