I decided to get some new gloves since I been beating the bags with my everlast ones for 5 years now and papa could use a new set. Found some RDX 12 ounce gloves online for $70. They looked real nice and thought I would give them a shot.
First 2 days was nice. They were tight but I knew they would break in. Wednesday role by which I focus on power mostly and I discovered a huge problem. When I put some power in the gloves something about them is different because when the knuckle cushioning compresses so far, my thumb would get jammed down which hurts. Every single power punch my thumb gets jammed down. If you don't know what I'm talking about imagine something pushing down the tip of your thumb. I never had this problem with any other set of gloves.
Their website talks about great customer service. I left 2 emails and 1 voicemail over 2 weeks ago and have yet to hear a response.
Conclusion. They are great looking gloves and are ok with light to medium power but fail miserably when you put heavy power in them.
