You thought Wade would make more than 500k? 500k is more than I expected for him to fight on HBO, thats a lot of money, I was expecting him to get paid like 100k tops. 500k is a lot for a no name guy like Wade.

Same, how the hell does Wade get $500k? He literally has no name. It's not like all the other No name Golovkin opponents. Half of then you'd seen at least once. And, with guys like Monroe, you could at least find footage, even though he was unknown. Wade might as well be named "TBA".

Certainly not b/c of his market value or accomplishments, but b/c of the political nature of the situation. There were people talking about it going to purse bid and Haymon putting up a large bid to force it off HBO, possibly stripping Golovkin who's contractually tied to HBO. But the 75/25 split in favor of Golovkin probably killed that idea. The way Haymon over pays fighters, Wade probably made 250k fighting Soliman.
