    Correct.

It was quite clear at that point that Floyd had zero interest in making the fight.

By the way, you've made some great points to Dunn.

I think we should leave it now.

    Let's get back to Roy.

The biggest thing that pisses me off as a fan of his, is the common misconception that he avoided good fighters because he was only content to fight lowly opposition on his HBO contract.

    That is totally false.

Don't exaggerate!! Marquez would have easily taken 40 million, not caring about the split. Not that big of a split. PAC made more than Marquez in each fight, even when he got KTFO! Getting paid more, was good for PAC the A side vs Marquez, the B side vs Floyd!

Nobody has even mentioned Roy and Floyd's ranking apart from that fool.

What, is Floyd the GOAT now just because he's undefeated?

Let's see how his career has turned out after he retires for definite.

We all know he'll be back.

RJJ was better, more exciting. Floyd is not TBE! Neither is PAC nor Marquez.

Roy made his competition look mediocre period!

Roy was special...once in a lifetime talent.

The only fighter I went years without doubts of him losing. After watching him beat Toney so easy I was like nobody is beating him but father time.

watch that British program where Collins, Jones, Calzaghe, Eubank talk about their era.....all those fighters knew they were gonna get that issue fighting a prime Jones and Toney in the 90s. Eubank outright said he'd have to be willing to get hurt bad to beat Jones and wanted to be very good but the best, not so much.

When you're the most visible athlete, you take the blame but lets be real. People didnt call out Roy like they call out floyd because Roy had speed, power, was unorthodox and he taunted and would embarass you.

Round 5 in the 3rd Tarver fight- I wonder why Roy didn't have more of that in the fight.

Exactly!! Time defeats us all in the end leads us to grave!!

I was surprised he walked through Tony like that. It was very impressive.
Prime RJJ whips the **** out of a prime Tarver!!

floyd vs cotto at 140 hmmm ok that wasn't a big fight now floyd vs cotto at 147? super fight that floyd avoided. cotto lives too far away? are you serious? the fake retirement? why do you defend things like that? it should have happened at 147 but floyd didn't want it stop blaming arum. arum didn't make floyd say silly things and retire.

floyd changed his demands over and over to stall the fight and eventually he only offered manny 40 millino and no ppv so yea he clearly did not want the fight. you can blame pac for not calling his bluff earlier but for 5 years? not reasonable.
Margarito also lost to Paul Williams who was a prospect with no wins over top ten opposition. that was in 2007, the same year Mayweather fought DLH and Hatton. Why would he fight someone coming off a loss that year and in 06 when he won the title, Margarito was not known and had the WBOgus belt....why go for that when you can fight for the REAL title and he Judah and Baldomir were the last 2 ww champs before him. That means more than fighting some unknown guy with a trinket.

Up to that point Margarito's best win was 6 heads Lewis or a prospect with a belt.....Cintron

Back on topic ....Roy Jones has haters that are happy to see him get beat up as an old man.

a fighters legacy isnt defined by past prime and shot performances. The man was virtually unbeatable for 15 years
